Modifying some artwork

Post by jlovda »

I have a drawing of a circuit board. I would like to erase some circuit traces and draw some others with a pen. I seem to have no control. If I go to pen I can only draw a "straight line" that invisible when lifted. There are no options for color, size, anything. I cannot draw a curved line. Help.

I just noticed that for some reason I have lost all the controls for size, shape, color, etc. that are usually across the top after I pick an icon on the left side. Now I cannot work with any jpgs.

Help

The pen tool uses the Foreground color of the materials palette to set the Stroke color if this is set to transparent there will be no stroke. And the Stroke Width must be at least 1 or more to be visible. I recommend reading up on and watching some tutorials on the pen tool to learn how to use it effectively.

Can we see your tool options palette to see what settings you have for the pen tool?

There are better Pen tool tutorials out there but I don't know what they are so I'll just plug these ancient tutorials. They still work even with the newest versions of PSP.

I seem to have lost everything. Even when I use a feature like CLONE, I am missing all the information across the top for size, density, etc. I can't do anything to any image!!!

You have probably hit F4 at some stage which makes the Tool Options disappear. Just hit F4 again and they will return. Bit simpler than a full reset.

I did a complete reset. Had to find the menu location to get back to the full screen. I will try F4 in the future. Thanks for the tip.
