Add support for Olympus E-PL8

I carry an olympus E-Pl8 many times when traveling and I also shoot it in raw. However, I can't edit the raw files in AFtershot Pro because it doesn't support these files. It would make it easier if Corel supplied a camera profile for this camera so I can speed up my workflow when using this camera. Is there anything in the works to provide more camera profiles?

They've had nearly five years to add support, and it hasn't happened yet. You can safely assume it's never going to happen - abandonware doesn't get useful updates.

I guess that about sums it up. Abandonware. It is a shame, because it has been useful in my workflow. Does anybody know if you can setup your own camera profiles?

You can create a profile out of an existing. Take a profile for a similar camera (e.g. PL7) and replace the text "PL7" by "PL8". This actually works for me with my PL9 since years. But there is no guarantee. Still a pity that AfterShot seems not to be updated anymore.

And you seriously think that it's OK that users have to do so in order to get use - and value - out of a commercial, paid-for product?

It might fly among Linux zealots, but among those of us who don't regard their OS as a hobby/challenge in its own right, it stinks.
