I just imported a pretty long video MPEG-4 clip into VS Pro X9--and hour and a half--and after importing OK, upon playing it, it displayed a small blue whirly icon for awhile, then the audio track
gave off a buzzing sound throughout...
Yet when I imported the clip into an Open Source video editor--Open Shot--the clip payed back just fine, with the audio track without the buzzing.
Very strange!

Re: Weird Audio Upon Importing An MP4 Clip
I'd suggest that you strip out the audio from the clip, edit it using an audio editor, and then add it and the video track back into VS.DayO wrote: Audio is more characterized as scratchy, not buzzing.

Perhaps your source is Whatsapp or a smartphone. In any event, you could simply export it using OpenShot and then further edit it in VS.DayO wrote:Yet when I imported the clip into an Open Source video editor--Open Shot--the clip payed back just fine, with the audio track without the buzzing

Re: Weird Audio Upon Importing An MP4 Clip
Yes, the full clip was a Facebook Livestream, recorded on a Smartphone to FB.
Good idea, export now from Shotcut, an Open Source video editor, then import to VS Pro...
Let's see how that works out.

The use of HandBrake is an alternative.DayO wrote:export now from Shotcut, an Open Source video editor, then import to VS Pro...
