I have had a consistent crash with MSP 8.0 Trial. It is with a nested project involving text overlays using transitions as a filter (methods discussed in another thread here). This project is very small.
The project operated and saved fine, but I cannot reload. I sent a report via the feedback, but cannot attach the project.
Any suggestions on how to send Ulead the project?

What I suggest is that you send in the feedback form giving all the following details:
total hardware set-up
OS + SP no.
what installed software is running concurrently (firewall, anti-virus etc.)
exact description of what you did before and during the crash including error messages
whether you tried the automatic back-ups and results.
This is a beta version and there are some known issues still: it is possible that your's is among them and sending them your dvp file would make no sense. If it is a new issue, then Ulead will contact you and ask for whatever further details you may need.
As a general rule, dvp failure can be overcome by loading one of the backups; you may lose 10 minutes work (or whatever you have set it at) but you save the project. Crashes may be caused by a number of problems, as with any software, but they usually revolve round such things as faulty RAM or drives, insufficient resources for the work in hand, fragmented discs and so on.

This project took 10 seconds to create, so no loss.
I did find another issue in that, in an image, where the aspect ratio was maintained by a moving path on import (which probably should be the default). When I opened the moving path and selected "Keep aspect ratio" it would distort the image and the size (vertical) would jump from the previous 480 to 539 (in NTSC mode).
I used the download link to find the "report to Ulead" link, so I cannot find this anymore.
This has probably been fixed, but just in case....
