Changing Colors of Instant Effects

Post by ThomasG »

Using PSP 21. In Instant Effects, AI Powered. I apply "Soft Pastels" to a photo. The only colors used in the transition are arrayed between Cad Red and Cad Yellow. Can that color arrangement be changed? If so, how?

Not directly, no. There is only one slider, the strength slider, this allows more of the original image to show through and that helps but if you want better control you're gonna need to work around it. First duplicate the layer so you're working on a copy, then apply full strength the P2P effect you want to use. From there play with the layer settings to get different results. Like changing the blend mode and opacity. Using the sample image of fresh fruit and vegetables provided with PSP setting the blend mode to luminance allowed more of the original colors to show through while still keeping the stylized appearance.
