Precise positioning of Sunburst illumination effect

Precise positioning of Sunburst illumination effect
I've been trying to use the Sunburst illumination effect. But the Horizontal and Vertical controls in the Sunburst dialog box only let you position the light origin in one percent increments, which isn't precise enough for the image I'm trying to create. Is there any workaround that will let me position the light origin at a precise number of horizontal and vertical pixels?

Create a raster layer above the background layer.
Fill it with pure black.
Apply the sunburst effect on this black layer.
Switch the Layer Blend mode to Screen.
You will have a layer you can rotate as you will.
Note: make your canvass bigger before applying the above steps.

Re: Precise positioning of Sunburst illumination effect
This is almost identical to Jean-Luc's option. It's a script, so long as you know the exact X and Y value it should get you pretty close. It resizes the canvas (not the image) so that your X and Y values are a known exact percentage. It adds a new layer, fills it with black, and sets the blend mode to Screen. Then it runs the sunburst command with the calculated percentages under Horizontal and Vertical offsets. So as long as you don't touch those it should be pretty accurate. The script will then crop the image back down to its original size. Hopefully, the end result is a sunburst on its own layer exactly where you wanted it.
Just unzip the script into your Scripts-Restricted folder, select it from the Scripts toolbar and run it. You'll be asked for the exact X and Y pixel locations before showing you the sunburst command.
If you cancel the Sunburst, let the script finish as it'll restore the original image size for you.
