Corel X7 going unresponsive when opening files
So for some reason when I try to open any Corel file in CorelX7 I just get a spinning icon and the program stops responding. Have never had this happen before. Have had our computer tech look at it and he can't find anything hardware wise that stands out. Have done the repair option in the install disk as well as complete uninstall and reinstall and still nothing. I am running on Windows 10 that is completely up to date. Has anyone had this issue and if so how and did you get it fixed?

Re: Corel X7 going unresponsive when opening files
Welcome to the forum. But as you are a new user, I have to ask exactly which Corel program you are referring to when you refer to "Corel X7". I know you posted your question in this set of forums, but we sometimes get new users who want to talk about CorelDRAW which uses a similar numbering system but is not covered by our forums. (It also just so happens I also have CorelDRAW X7, though I've just upgraded to DRAW 2021...)
In case you *are* referring to DRAW, that is a separate community for which you will need to register separately at https://community.coreldraw.com/
In case you *are* referring to Video Studio, can you please tell us what you mean by "Corel file" when you say you can't open them. Are they video files or something else? The only files made by Corel in Video Studio which can be called "Corel files" are small project files which are text files and use the .vsp extension. Otherwise Video Studio is used to open and edit video files, with extensions like .mpg, mp4, .avi, .mts, .mov, .m2ts, and .mkv...
Or if they are image files, then Corel PaintShop Pro creates .pspimage files which can only be opened by PaintShop. Otherwise PaintShop opens most normal image files like .png, .jpg, .tiff, and a wide variety of others.
Both Video Studio and PaintShop Pro have X7 versions as well...
