Script progress bar missing PSP 2021

Hello,

I have PaintshopPro 2020. Whenever I run a script, script progress bar is displayed in the Status Bar at the bottom of the Workspace. However, PaintShop Pro 2021 does not display the script progress bar. Is there a way we can turn on the script progress bar in PSP 2021?

Hi Dano - I just ran a script in PSP2021 and the display does show on the bottom of the screen so it's not something specific to PSP2021. Try doing a reset and see if that corrects the issue. https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=67616

I did everything you recommended, but I still do not see the script progress bar when running a script from the toolbar. I do see the progress bar when I apply an effect via the Instant Effect palette. But not while a script is running.

One other point I wish to add... When I open an image, I see a “Reading” progress bar in the Status Toolbar. And when I apply an effect from the Instant Effect palette, I see a progress bar as the effect is being applied. But no progress bar when running a script. With PSP 2020, I see a couple of progress bars depending on which script and which actions it is taking... But with PSP 2021, it seems like it is running in some kind of silent mode.

Last point... When the script is running, the thing that is displayed in the Status Toolbar is current tool that I have selected.

Sorry to keep bothering... one other thing I noticed was that any script that resized the image did display a progress bar.

I did "Import Content from Previous Versions" after initial installation. Could this have broken something?

I can confirm Dano's results.
I do not import the previous versions settings and set everything up from scratch , not that I do much apart from work in untabbed mode and set up a custom toolbar with most used items on it.

I loaded an image and resized it to 1500 x 1000 pixels. I used the wet watercolor script at the bottom of the scripts list and PSP 32 bit versions.
In all cases from X9 through to 2020 I had the progress bar appear at the bottom but with PSP 2021 no progress bar.

Hi Dano,

Since you are seeing some statuses I'm going to assume you have the Status toolbar enabled but you can double check from the Toolbars menu.

You could try to toggle the execution mode on the Script toolbar using the icon indicated below.

As an alternative you can enable to Script Output Palette from the Palette menu so you can see what the script is doing.

Okay, I see what you are saying now. When using PSP2021 it tells me "Run Script Selected in Toolbar" and I thought that was what you were looking for. I just ran the same script in PSP2020 and the Status toolbar shows the individual steps.

As I mentioned above a workaround is to enable to Script Output Palette.
