No.

Earlier in this thread, I suggested that you let VS match the properties of the 1st video clip that you add to a project, and alternatively that you also try using the 'Same as First Video Clip' when rendering. Did you try those suggestions?
DayO wrote:Unsure of how to calculate attributes at 58% of rendering--what on earth is jamming this up?
For example, if your VSP is 100 minutes long, then look at the clips and filters used around the 58 minute mark. There must be something there that VS doesn't like.

An iterative approach to finding the problem is to create a preview range on the timeline that ends before the 58% mark, say at the 55% mark and then render with Create Preview Range Only enabled. If that portion of the VSP renders successfully, then increase preview range on the timeline towards the 58% mark and render again. With this iterative approach, you should eventually find the clip and filters causing the issue.

I was first going to try to render using Trevor's suggested specs for MPEG4.

Will try out Create Preview Range.

Trick now is to locate that 58% Render location on the project.

It is highly probable that something on your timelines at 58% is causing this fail to render and yes sometimes is difficult to locate, I believe you mentioned having several audio files.
Some MP3 audio using the Lame Codec has caused problems for video Studio.

Your best option is to save the project again giving it a new name then start to remove clips from the 58% area.
Using Speed timelapse or Reverse video has caused some issues in the past, have you applied those options to your project.
You can also try using the Project Preview Range to then render parts of your project to hopefully isolate the culprit.

If you zip your VSP project file and attach to your post, difficult to do but we can try to replicate your project, although being able to use your files would be the best option.

X9 has no issues using projects longer than 30 minutes.

I haven't used either Speed Timelapse or Reverse Video with this project.

Will try out that PRR, for starters, Thanks.

Now at the point of isolating offending video clip an 58%; should be able to upload it tomorrow.

Still trying to locate the offending clip at 58%...

The clips furiously flashing by during Opening of the project in VS Pro make it damned hard to catch which clip is at 58%.

Surely there's a better way to calculate which clip loads at 58%--this is holding things up.

58% of the length of your project
You mentioned that the project was 35 minutes
58% of 35 is 20.3
20 minutes 18 seconds

00:20:30:000 as set on the project clock

To be more precise, it's actually 34:49 in length.

So the offending 58% point of rendering clip is actually at 20:54, according to my calculations.

Will attempt to upload that clip in zipped format shortly.

Attached is my project's video clip #17, where the project rendering stalled at 58%, or at 20:54 of the project's total length of 34:49.

The Properties of this clip in the VS Pro X9 Project:

NTSC HDMV
Size: 642 Mb
207.705 sec.
H.265 Video
12.270 frames
24 bits, 1920x1080, 16:9
Frame rate: 59.940 fps
Data rate: Variable bit rate (MAX 26000 kbps)

WHOOPS - Couldn't Attach - "File too large," even when Zipped

What are my options?

What were you intending to upload
If you are intending to upload your entire project then at 35 minutes for MTS that would be 5Gb +, as a guess, quite large
A Smart Package would be the best option, that will save all clips used within your project to a new folder.
I believe you mention having several audio files, it may be these that are causing the problem and not the mts.

I would save the project giving it a new name
remove all audio files then render again, does that complete as ok

I was intending to upload the offending clip #17 of my project, where the rendering stalled out at 58%.

I think for starters I'll upload that clip, via Dropbox link.

Thanks.

Added compressed Clip #17 to Dropbox and assumed link Shared to Cipboard in Windows 10, but couldn't open Clipboard on my PC--despite going through Systems.

My keyboard lacks the Windows insignia, so pressing that and Ctrl V won't open Clipboard.

Also, assuming I can accomplish that, how do I paste that link here?

Sorry, this is just turning into a hair-pulling task.

DayO….
Sorry for the delay in replying just a little busy at the moment.
I do not think uploading the actual clip is going to prove anything, I assume that to be one of your MTS video files.
Besides 58% seems quite specific, I would think it is some conflict with the edits you have applied or other clips at that location, maybe audio clips etc.

If you can zip the VSP, then you should be able to attach that to your post.
It’s a long shot but we can try to re-construct the project, at least It may give us an idea as to what is going on.

I think this issue has gone on long enough so if it will help I can have a look using Team Viewer
I’ll send you a PM regarding this process.

Thanks!

I'll give Team Viewer a thought...bear with me on that.

How does that procedure work, with locating the whole VSP Project on my computer?
