Changing storyboard view to all horizontal

Post by Fishn3 »

Hi, would anyone know how to switch the storyboard view to horizontally across? It is all stacked vertically now, not completely - so many frames per row. But before it was horizontal all the way across and it was much easier to rearrange clips where I wanted. Now it somehow changed to this new vertical view of rows and I'm having a heck of a time editing as a result. I'm using Corel Video Studio Pro X8. I know it's old but for me it's worked just fine except now for this issue. Thanks if you have any advice.

I have never seen the Storyboard view changed, generally its the Timeline layout that gets adjusted
Anyway pressing keyboard F7 should revert the display to the default layout.

Tried that but it didn't do anything. Puzzled as to how it changed.

From (F6) preferences – UI Layout are options to choose a layout -default should work.
Also from the menu Settings are Layout options
Can you provide a screen shot of the Storyboard.
As you say a bit of a puzzle.

The three panels, preview screen, library and timelines can be dragged to rearrange the layout.
Top left of each are several maybe 6 dots, drag from there, you should see blue anchor points.
I did try this and it took a while to find the correct layout, but did manage in the end.

Thanks for the reply - here's a screenshot. The rows go down the page more but couldn't fit it in the picture. The individual clips used to go from left to right straight across which made it easy to insert another clip in the order that I wanted. I'll check out what you just suggested.

Looks like I got it to work per your advice. I just dragged the library window down some and it is back to all horizontal. Thank you!
