Ken, My apology, but this concern about copy merged is going on longer and should not have started at all here. Can this part be moved to a new thread in the main forum under Location of Copy Merged.

I would also suggest that instead of putting a request / wish for something to be in the next PSP version, posters be required to search for the topic first and then start a thread on their topic first. Then if it is not solved in the general forum they be invited to post the request in the Wishlist thread. Currently posters can make requests for somethiing that is already there just hidden a bit and so makes the value of this thread to Corel dubious.

Moved from the Wishlist to it's own topic.

@Wykkyd - The screenshot of your "Image Tab" looks to be highly customized. I see entries from the File, Edit and View Menu. You have made reference to a "document tab" and also an "image tab" in your posts so I'm not sure where you actually saw this.

I looked at PSP X9 and I can tell you that Copy Merged is found in the Edit menu under Copy Special. There is also an entry in the Layer menu under Merge - Merge Visible to New Layer. The locations are the same in PSP2021.

Hope this helps you.

I just realized what your screen shot is. It's not a drop down menu at all; it's the dialog box that appears when you right-click on a toolbar. Just checked and it's the same in X9 and 2021.

Copy Merged is an option on the Image context (right click) menu.
If you use Tabbed windows (menu Window/Tabbed Documents has a check mark) as shown in your first post, an image uses the whole workspace, including the background area around the image, and the context menu works over the whole workspace.
If you don't use Tabbed windows (menu Window/Tabbed Documents is unchecked), you can open more than one image in the same workspace. Right clicking on the workspace itself gives you the menu as you show in your second post. Right click on an image and you get the Image context menu.

Thank you! Yes, I was using tabbed documents. So, maybe I should say that I'd like the "Copy Merged" option added to the tabbed document's image right click menu? :) I guess for now I'll not use tabbed documents. Copy merged is a very important feature for what I do. Thanks again everyone and also for moving me to the right place. :) Sorry about hogging up space in the wish list thread. I would've moved myself but I wasn't sure how to do that here. Sorry. :? I also apologize for my concern over where the copy merge went. Like I said, it's very important for my work.

@Kathy_9 - I meant Jasc PSP 9 ;) not X9. I went from Jasc PSP 9 to using PSP 2019, then 2020 then 2021. I had quit graphics editing for a long time which is why the gap between versions. I appreciate all the help from everyone!

@Wykkyd - you could put a "Copy Merged" icon on a toolbar.

Go to View - Customize - Commands - All Commands - Find Copy Merged Icon on the right-hand side of the dialog box and drag it to a toolbar.

Perfect, Kathy!! Thank you so much! I figured there was a way to do that, but I'd not had any luck figuring it out. Very much appreciate that! Thank you!
