This isn't a big problem, but I don't remember having this in the past. I have 7 horizontal lines when I'm cropping an image. Is there a setting that I accidentally hit? Here's screenshot.

Re: Horizontal lines when cropping
I cannot imagine why it would happen when the image is displayed in PSP. However, I ran across the issue when saving an image that I have manipulated and cropped in PSP and then using it as a background for a video intro/menu page when creating a video using a program to convert various videos to DVD format for burning on DVDs. I discovered that if the pixel size of the height of the image was an odd number (i.e., not divisible by 2) then the image displayed in the conversion program's preview had those lines and they were also there when the video conversion was completed. Resizing it in PSP by adding one pixel to the height fixed the issue. While it shouldn't have that issue when displayed in any program, is the height of your image in pixels an odd rather than even number?

Re: Horizontal lines when cropping
The image is an even number, 6000 x 4000. I reduced it to 3000 x 2000. Same results. I did make a discovery however. If I zoom the image to 60% (that's the largest I can make it and still be within the screen size), I have 9 of those horizontal lines. If I reduce the zoom to 30%, I have only 4 lines. It seems the lines are always spaced the same distance apart on my screen, regardless of the zoom percentage. Could this be a monitor issue? I did recently upgrade my monitor from a 1920 x 1080 monitor to a Qnix 2560 x 1440 monitor. I can't remember if that's when the trouble started. I just tried reducing my screen resolution to 1920 x 1080, but the same results. I'm starting to wonder if it's the monitor fault. It's really not a big deal, I can live with it. Everything else is 100%. It's just annoying.

Re: Horizontal lines when cropping
It does sound like a monitor issue, and not one you should be having. I would definitely consider returning the monitor for another one.
Do you have any other image editing software? If so, do you have the same issue when cropping with different software? If you don't, there are various free programs you could download to experiment with, and some paid versions that have free trials you could also experiment with.

Re: Horizontal lines when cropping
Everything else about the monitor is trouble free. Even different versions of PSP work without this issue. I actually prefer an older version of PSP(X3). It's just something I'm used to and it does everything I need it to do. I have PSP-X6 and PSP-2020, but I see no need for them.

Re: Horizontal lines when cropping
Probably how the software interacts with your graphics drivers. Since it only appears in the crop overlay.
Didn't know people still used X3 that had such a terrible start and so many bugs.
