Hi,
Anybody else wishing to see a possibility on VideoStudio to get broken video files fixed? You all most likely have been in situations that running out of the battery, recording software breaks in middle of recording and etc... Basically, those files just missing the end headers.
How cool it could be if VS could offer such a feature.

Re: Repair broken MP4 file
So why not repair them with Hex editor?
Can you upload a broken segment?

Re: Repair broken MP4 file
I already tried with ffmpeg, but the results were: "moov atom not found". So perhaps something else than just last headers.

Re: Repair broken MP4 file
Pepi,
Never seen that error message with FFmpeg. Here's a possible fix:
https://recoverit.wondershare.com/video ... found.html
Best recovery steps I've seen with FFmpeg:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3nWw9aX5kw
If FFmpeg fails, don't throw in the towel yet. I've had success using Recuva too.

Re: Repair broken MP4 file
It would be more useful for the majority of VS users, if Corel would devote its scarce programming resources towards fixing the conditions that cause VS to crash. Fixing a "broken MP4 file" is an edge case that an NLE shouldn't be expected to address.Pepi wrote: How cool it could be if VS could offer such a feature.
