If a font issue, a reset will do nothing. Font issue needs to remove the fonts which produce the problem.

Hi ArecJohnson. As I am not an expert in this area I tried everything that was within my reach and that did not seem to cause significant damage to the SW of my PC. I also did a reset of the PSP 2021 parameters, but at a later time I think there would be no need.

My suggestion is to start with fonts.
1. Run the PSP and try to use the Text tool. Move the cursor over the font name multiple choice box. Pay attention to the name of the last font that appears in the list before the PSP disappears. In my case it was a font with the name "DFPOP1-W9" and others that were together and also started with "DF". Of these I did not take note.
2. Go to Widows / Fonts and delete that font or move it to a directory that will serve as a backup, which can be useful in case you want to revert everything that has been done.
3. Run the PSP again and follow steps 1. and 2. until the program works normally.

Note: Before doing what I now suggest, I followed the suggestion made by Wykkyd, post above, and this led me to eliminate 2 fonts that on the PSP showed a blank preview.
Tell us how the attempt went.

First solution uninstall and reinstall all Visual Studio Redistributable modules.

Could be a corrupt Visual C++ that's causing the crashes.
