edit motion in title
I have selected a Title for my video and edited the text and it works. The Overlay comes up does its motion and the title starts and does its motion. My issue is the title starts halfway through the Overlay motion and comes full screen about 1 second before it ends. What I would like to do is have the motion of the Title start immediately, finish the motion halfway through the clip and stay on the screen for last half of the time. I have tried to edit motion options but I cannot move the start and end keyframes... I tried adding in Keyframes to see if I could make it start earlier but nothing I have tried so far allows me to start the fade in earlier ... can someone give me some direction? I watched a few youtube videos and tried to figure it out but none seemed to deal with changing the fade in of the text itself ... I can move it, I can lengthen the time it runs etc I just can't seem to make the motion start earlier in the timeline

Re: edit motion in title
Can you create a new test VSP containing the text clip
attach that file to your post we can have a better look at what is happening
You will have to either Zip the vsp or rename to use txt as its extension, a vsp file cannot be attached directly to this forum
I assume you have used a sample from the library, which one did you choose
It may be easier to create your own title clips rather than trying to edit the samples

Re: edit motion in title
Ok
Whilst you are changing the text, where your cursor shows on the preview screen.
Note the blue bar below the preview screen
Float your mouse over the left hand yellow handle, the tool tip shows as “Pause Duration”
Drag that to the left to reduce the duration to show the text a little faster
Some details of that bar here

I have updated your profile to allow you to see post notifications, if this option is inappropriate then you can modify or let me know and I will correct

Re: edit motion in title
let me start by saying Thank You! I appreciate the assistance as I need to get this out this weekend....I took a look at the link provided but I see a scrubber bar not a way to adjust the timing of the TEXT ... I would like the text to start to appear right at the beginning of the clip be all the way out halfway through the clip and remain on the screen to end of clip. I am adding 3 images and 1 video clip in zip format ... one images shows the title I chose, 2nd image show the text almost all the way out, 3rd image shows where I would LIKE to have the text all the way out. I hope that makes some sense

Re: edit motion in title
I created what you want in about 3 minutes using Customize Motion.
1. Enter title text for each line, set the font face and size and align to top and bottom.
2. Select Customize Motion.
3.Add key point at half way. I also added one 1.5 seconds before the end of the clip.
4. At the start, set the Size to "0" (zero). At the halfway key set the Size to 100. At the last (end) key set the Opacity to "0" (zero).
5. Click OK.
Done.

Re: edit motion in title
I have attached a VSP showing the effect described by GEWB using Customise Motion
The title was made from scratch and not using the library samples.
Once you open the title you can drag the clip to the library as a copy

Re: edit motion in title
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Instead of putting in a Title from library samples, I double clicked the timeline, entered the text (as you suggested) set the time along with Keyframes and it is EXACTLY what I was hoping to get! I will now be ready for this weekend !! This has been an awesome experience! Thanks to All who took the time to reply! Your patience and willingness to assist has been an amazing experience!

You're welcome. Good luck with your project. (The minister in the sample video is my father, before he retired.)
