about commercial use

Post by fhB »

Hello users.
I'm a new Corel user.
I own a PSP2021/Ultimmate.
And now I am considering Videostudio2021/Ultimate.
Sorry for the double post if this is a topic that has already been talked about in this forum.

I've contacted support, but the response is quite slow, so I'd like to know from you users, please.

Can I use the PSP or VideoStudio software and the expansion packs available within the software's "store" for commercial use?
I found out in the license agreement that the software itself can be used for commercial purposes,
but I'm not sure if the expansion packs can be used for commercial purposes.
Please give me some information and advice.

Commercial use ;
I'm a musician and track maker.
I would like to use Corel software to create music videos, CD case jacket images, and other product-related items for my original music production.

Thnak you.

I am not en expert but I see no reason not to use. As long as you own the product you can use to create commercial contents. But.... you can not resell any part of the software as you product.
For example you can use templates to create a video for commercial purposes but you can sell this template as your product.

This is what I know and I hop I am right.

Corel's EULA is available at https://www.corel.com/en/eula/ It covers both private and commercial use of Corel's software.

To have a definitive answer to your question, you'd have to engage a lawyer, however, speaking as a layman your proposed use of Corel's software appears to be allowed by the EULA.
