Re: Color change: Stronger contrast after saving
Does it happen with only this image or with all of your images?
If it happens with all of your images, did it just start happening or has it always been happening with your version of PSP?
And what version of PSP are you using?

Re: Color change: Stronger contrast after saving
Hi there,
yes, it is PSP 2019.
This happens to all of my pictures, but is even stronger when I used contrast/color adjusts in PSP.
Furthermore this happend so me since I have the program. Normally I dont care about the contrast. I can rememeber that I googled this topic some moths ago and could find a solution.
I uploaded the .pspimage: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cknwn6 ... sp=sharing or here https://anonfiles.com/A0y0F1lcu4/aberhalllllo_pspimage
regards:)

Re: Color change: Stronger contrast after saving
I downloaded the .pspimage file from the first link you provided. Comparing that to the image you posted here in your first post, the image I downloaded is the one on the right of your example image in your first post. In other words, it already has the increased color and contrast you were describing. I can save that in another format (such as .png) or in .pspimage format (with a slight name change so as not to overwrite the original) and the saved images do not change in color and contrast.
The problem we will have in trying to duplicate your issue is that, because you say you cannot save your image in any format without you seeing the color/contrast change, you are unable to post the actual originally created image (the one on the left in your example above) because until it is save it is not actually in any image format so can't be posted for us to test.
I am also curious about something. The image contains many layers and looks like it took a fair amount of work and time to create. Are you saying that you started with a blank canvas (or at least the two bottom layers ddddddd and Raster 4) and didn't make any interim saves at all while you were working on the image so the first save is the .pspimage you posted with the enhanced color/contrast? If you did do any interim saves while working on the image, were they all showing such enhancement or only the final version?

Your image has a resolution of 2540 PPI (1000 pixels/cm)! It is abnormal, I think.
Do you have Color Management active or unchecked?
When saving, if you embed the sRGB Color Space Profile, do you see a difference?

Re: Color change: Stronger contrast after saving
While you note and say that the saved image has more color and contrast than the original image , you should note that the background sky color does not show that change, so the change is in the groups that have the mountain and the rock.
By turning visibility off for both the contrast layers I can get your original left image and save it and reload it as such.
When the Contrast layers visibility is turned back on then you get the strong colors again and can save that image and again reload that increased contrast image.
All is normal.
Or am I missing something?

Re: Color change: Stronger contrast after saving
Yes, I tried it with the mountains alone. I took the picture and just saved it without any edits/changes and the contrast are diffrent from the original picture:
You can see it very good when you switch back and forth.
And yes I saved it with and withhout sRGB but thats not the reason.

Re: Color change: Stronger contrast after saving
Just wondering if that continues. ie take the mountain image and save it as Mountain 1
Clear the workspace by closing any images
Reload Mountain 1 and save it as Mountain 2
Clear the workspace
Reload Mountain 2 and save it as Mountain 3
Clear the workspace.
Now load Mountain 1 -3 and compare them side by side. If the saving process increases the contrast then you should have three images differing in contrast. If the savng process does not change the images then the mountain image should appear the same. I get three images the same.

Could you do a reset and tell us if it corrects the problem?

Could you be more precise? It could help other users if they encounter the same problem.aberhalloo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 9:56 pm I played a lot with a ll the settings and somehow problem disapeared.

Re: Color change: Stronger contrast after saving
To add to Jean-Luc's question, when you say you played with "all the settings" do you mean that you changed some settings with the various layers in the Layers palette, or some settings with the Save dialogues when savings, or some settings on your toolbar, or some combination of more than one of those? We would really appreciate more detail about that stuff. Thanks in advance.
