Problem Importing video file into 2021 Ultimate

Hi all,

So I've gotten 2021 Ultimate and had it now for a few weeks or so and it seems to behaving itself.

Now I'm working on a project and have bunch of video files which are in MTS format and play perfectly in VLC Player. And when I attempt to import the files into the program I get an error message which I will attach to this post.
The only thing I will have to do is to convert into another file format any good free programs and retain it's quality?
But ideally Corel should be noted for this error which should be fixed.

Any suggestions would be most welcomed!

Rob, VS2021 has no issue with mts files, can you attach your video properties

Something that may be relevant is the device your mts files came from. Sadly, what appears to be a standard may not be - vendors are notorious for 'tweaking' a file format to make their device look good, or better, but there are so many digital file variations around, this device/format may not be supported by VS.

Corel Support would not normally visit here so if you want Corel to fix then you should contact Corel Support as you should be aware we do not work for Corel.

First can you provide a sample of the video, you will have to upload to a sharing site, Google Drive, Drop Box etc.
We can then test your video to prove its is ok or not

That leaves your program which you should re-install to see if that cures the problem.

It may be your pc's environment, although I assume your older program had no problems, but has anything changed to your computer, installing updates, codec packs, driver updates?

Like Robert I have no problems working with MTS files

I have old MTS files from a Canon camcorder that work without any problems in VS2021.

I've incorporated many MTS files in VS and most have no problem, but occasionally some of the files can't be added into VS although they play w/o issue in video players. These problematic MTS files are converted using HandBrake and then added to VS.

Can it be something with HDCP protection enabled in the recorder?
In any case I would suggest to install k-lite to your PC if you do not have yet.

Is it possible to upload a sample of a problematic file to the cloud? Everyone can download it and see what happens on their computers.

First, can you put them on something like Google driver where I don't have to accept tracking cookies to download?
Next, these are original MTS files that are problematic for importing, correct?

I downloaded your first sample file and can confirm I could not play it in VS. But the file can be played in other video editors including Corel's other editor Pinnacle Studio.

X9 and I guess all VS's see these files as wireless B/W BMP's....
If they were wired colored BMP's than they could be admitted ....
