Version 4-Crashes and Audio Files-MP3

A few weeks ago I downloaded and tried the trial version of DVD
PictureShow 3 which worked fine. Then I purchased the boxed full version. When I tried to use MP3 files in my projects, such as those provided with the program in the "Contents" folder, the audio player would not play the files for me to preview them. I found I could preview and use WAV files in my projects but not MP3 files.
Then I found that version 4 was available so I purchased the upgrade version and downloaded online. Before installing version 4 I did a complete clean uninstall of version 3. Now, with version 4 I still have the same problem with mp3 files not playing with the audio player, but the program continually crashes with the Windows error message: Ulead CD & DVD PictureShow has encountered an error and needs to close. This happens while I am working on a short test slideshow.
Now I have, within the last 2 weeks purchased version 3, the upgrade to version 4 and have a program that is not functioning adequately to be of value to me.
I had already had one series of communications with tech support via email concerning the problem with the "open Audio File" and have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times, including the most recent updates with no result. I did try installing version 3 to my laptop and it seemed to function normally.
After communicating the crashing problem with tech support, one more clean uninstall/reinstall did seem to solve the crashing problem-at least I have been able to burn a full DVD of slideshows, but I still am unable to use MP3 files without first converting them to WAV files.

I've also experienced the same problem as yours with my PS4. The workaround I've made is to convert my MP3 files to WAV and use WAV instead of MP3. I've observed that when I play a certain MP3 file, it works but some of my MP3 files won't play, they just play but with no sound. But by clicking pause and and then hit play again, I heard the mp3 is now already playing. Can you try that with yours? ^_^
