Gigantice Size project Advice

Post by matlander »

I just wanted to post this for all the big project guys out there. Beware of doing too much in a single project compilation. What I mean by that is that it's so much better to do just one section of work at a time... say a 15 to 20 minute piece. If you go over that, when you edit what happens is that you change something and it effects everything on the timeline and throws your timing/music/ titles and videos all off. Do one section at a time, render it and then in the end, put all the different rendered sections together and walla! Easy, quick complete rendering times. It also makes editing a little less heartache, even though you have to go through an extra step in rendering a file, it's much more organized and will save you much time!

*Be aware of the project properties, especially when capturing! If you want it to look good on DVD, better capture in 740 X 480 MPEG2 or AVI type 1 - 740X480. I had nothing but problems capturing with any other setting...it just looked terrible when burned to DVD and wasted weeks of my life. Hope this helps you all out! Thanks for all the helpful advice.
