Corel PaintShop Pro 2021 Ultimate Installer Issue

Just checked and I am finding the same.
Open with Complete workspace and untick tabbed documents. Right click on the workspace and choose Workspace > Photography or Workspace > Sea to Sky, and the program closes .

When you remove PSP 2021 from processes using Task Manager (it hangs around for some time) and restart PSP , it opens in the Photography or the Sea to Sky workspace (whichever you chose)

You can switch from Photography <---------> Sea to Sky and back again with no problems.
You can switch from Complete <----------> Essentials and back again with no problems.

Essentials or Complete XX----------->XX Photography or Sea to Sky

To your question about "crashed when changing workspace", let me check with our engineer and would come back to you ASAP.
The scenario sounds familiar to me ... not sure if my memory went wrong; will confirm soon.

Have you tried the "reset PSP" method?
(keep Pressing "Shift" key and launch PSP at the same time, there will be a notification telling you that you are about to reset the PSP).
Sometimes this helps.
Please give it a try if you don't mind, and let me know if it works for you.

If memory serves me, this occurred when the slider on the Welcome Screen was moved down to the Store and was remedied by moving it up to Get Started. I know this sounds crazy but it seemed to work. For those having an issue give it a try. I mentioned this to someone else in another thread and I believe it worked for them.

Yes, this issue is still on .... sorry that we did NOT solve this issue yet .....
This issue is related to other teams and it would impact so much that we CANNOT solve it easily.

The main description is: If PSP ever quit with "Home tab focus on store related items", it would crashed easily when switching workspace.
Take my screenshot for example, my HOME focus is in "Store"

, and I quit PSP now.
Next time when I launch PSP and try to switch workspace, PSP get crash easily.

So here is the workaround:
Go to the Home tab and make sure the focus is at "Get Start" then quit PSP.
Launch PSP and you should be able to switch workspace properly.

Sorry for the inconvenience and we will try our best to solve this issue in the next version.

Our RD had the hotfix for this issue:
Please access the following link and download the file, then execute it with PSP closed:
Hot Fix for "Crash when switch WS"
Please be noted that this hotfix is only workable with PSP version: 23.1.0.27
(You can check the version via the system control panel, or via "PSP\ Help\ About")

I applied the fix but see the version number stays as 23.1.0.27... However, it does appear to work, allowing me to switch first from Complete, then to Photography, then to Sea to Sky then back to Complete. No crash though a couple of seconds each time for the changeover. And from the first switch from Complete to Photography, the program does disappear for a couple of seconds before reopening at Photography. Subsequent changes keep the initial screen alive before the new screen appears.
