Cybernick, have you applied to join the VS Beta test program, if not, why not, you seem to have plenty to say and complain about, so apply to join and show all the beta testers with their wide range of systems, from top of the range to old antiquated, should be dumped systems, what they have been doing wrong, I am sure that we can all learn from your knowledgeable experience. Are you prepared to spend 4 months or more installing, removing, reinstalling over and over again, having system crashes that affect your other installed programs, I have over 1000 emails in my VS2021 Beta Test folder, are you prepared for that, once the program starts, you really won't have much time to spare for your normal editing work

It's unclear is how Corel responds to feedback from beta testers. While you have a strong belief that beta testers are the key to product improvement, Corel has a yearly release cycle and can't possibly action every valid item raised by beta testers given the available development time. Hence many valid points are left either to be addressed in one of the follow-on SPs or simply not addressed at all.

It also seems clear that users such as yourself, who accept the loyalty offer to buy the latest version of VS before its public sale, are in fact, beta testers whose feedback drives SP1

Finally, apart from beta testing, there is the question about whether VS is subjected to an adequate QA effort to identify reoccurring issues during the development cycle for new product releases.

As Cyberlink has raised a Ticket with Corel, their attention has been brought to this post and Cyberlinks continuing crashes, they should be arranging a desktop assistance.

See my computer specs? I'm not having that issue. And since it is random for you, how is anyone going to pin it down to say specifically what is the problem?
It's like a issue with your auto. It's intermittent. How is the mechanic going to diagnose it if it isn't happening when you bring the auto in. They can't, because the problem isn't there.

I am sure that Corel, like any other software company, has a range of alpha/beta testers at their disposal. And as @tletter wrote, being an "early adopter" can be like paying to be a beta tester, helping to make the product better. I am sure that you will figure out what series of events are triggering this issue.

You know I though about that . But I am not a pro editor. With my day job and my editing flow for my hobby content I believe I can not dedicate enough time on that. Also I should have a separate system that I would not care to crash.
So I am much more "I would pay and buy a working software" side.

But I am open to provide as much as support to fix issues. I am willing to provide any log or dump file. Because sooner or later other users may face the same circumstances.

Actually I believe the issue is not directly in Beta side. Generally such issues address in development lifecycle. Testers should be in place in very early stages of development. Alpha testers which should be full time employees.
Anyway I am willingly became early adopter but in VS2019 Vs2020 and VS2021 I had problems. :(
I am curious if someone in checking the uploaded crash logs. I have this enabled in setup.

I willing to provide support as much a possible. I love the tool. But the tool should make my life easy.

I tried everything. The only option remains is the reset lib and delete smart proxies. Since those smart proxies addresses the proxies generated in VS2021. But the small project that crashes is just a PNG and a OLD TV fx.

Let's see waiting their request to connect to my PC. I will update as soon as I have news. Thank everybody for the support.

I don't know which version of Win 10 you have, but Win 10 Pro includes what they call Sandbox. It is a virtual machine. So you can set up software you are testing there and seal it off from infecting or affecting your other stuff on the computer.

And of course there is a variety of other virtual machine software out there, some of it freeware.

I keep making tests. I managed to have the same crash after lib reset and deleting all smart proxy files (just in case).
Also I got a crash with sample files.
I realized the following error logs in application event log of the windows. Any idea ?

Today Corel support contacted me and spend some time for the problem. I provided dump file. I really felt like a valuable customer this time.
It is extremely strange but I believe it has to do with the "space bar". The problem happens when you preview (again and again, over and over) the same portion of the project with space bar. Also in some cases I need to press twice space bar in order to be registered.
The problem does not happens when I am doing with mouse only. (checked attached video)

Extremely strange. Is it isolated to my system or it has been reported by other I do not know.

I tried using the space bar to run-repeat about two dozen times in a row with no issue.

Thanks for the test. Have you tried again again close to the same point?
But I really do not know. :( It can be related with my system but Corel Support did not find the solution yet.
