I'm beginning to think that VS2020 ultimate is a bag of bugs. I just took a picture with my phone, copied it to my PC and am trying load it into a project. I can go through the motions, but the picture never shows up.
I guess I'll move to one of my old versions.
If anyone has any ideas, I'll sure give them a try.

Re: VS Ult 2020 -> Can't load picture
Where did you store the image on your computer? I have no trouble inserting images in various formats taken from my computer's Pictures library...
Though it therefore should not matter where you have it stored, you might want to try putting it in C:\Users\sisyp\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\23.0 which is where snapshots taken by VS are stored. So having an image inserted into your computer from elsewhere and stored in that folder, it should definitely show up in VS.
Can we also assume that the format of the photo is jpg or something else pretty common, and has no other special characteristics which might be affecting whether VS can "see" it?

Re: VS Ult 2020 -> Can't load picture
Thanks for the reply.
I don't have a .../23.0. Mine is 22.0.
I do have a few earlier pics but not any that I've tried to do today.
Sounds like I have a different version. I went to Help/Check for updates. It didn't find any.

Re: VS Ult 2020 -> Can't load picture
Is this the same issue as your other post
https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=68066
Video Studio Version numbers, go to Help About the number will start with 22, if using VS 2019
The older numbering system was easier to understand
Video Studio X9, was version 19, Roman numeral X + 9 = 19
Video Studio X10, was version 20, Roman numeral X + 10 = 20
Then they change the the description to a year format
The next version would have been X11, Roman numerals X + 11 + 21, however we now use 2018
so 2018 uses 21
2019 uses 22
2020 uses 23
and the latest version 2021 will use 24
The number can be found via Help Support, Video Studio 2019 being 22.3.0.436 is the current 2019 version.
The number 22 being used to identify the default working folder, for me ....
C:\Users\Trevor\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\22.0
Clear as mud
Can you update your profile to show the program you are using, I believe VS 2019

Re: VS Ult 2020 -> Can't load picture
I figured out a bit of that. But thanks for the info.
I can update my profile. I am finding the 2020 version to be problematic. It is also just closing all of a sudden. As well as reporting frames unreadable. I think I'll reinstall it to see if that helps.
