What is the difference between registering a trial version vs buying the full to start

I am pretty sure I know the answer, but I wanted to make sure if I was right.

Say you download the new Trial version of PSP 2021 ultimate and use the license code you bought to register the trial version to convert it to a full version. Is there any difference in doing it way, rather than installing the full version file that you get when you buy first buy it? Just a curiosity

When you download a trial it only offers you the 32-bit or 64-bit version to match your system; just one, not both. When you buy it you are able to download both 32 and 64-bit versions.

I have never understood the use of having two versions installed. If you are on a 64-bit system, why would you need the 32-bit version as well?

Many plugins (most of them are 32bit plugins) don't work on a 64bit version.
