Can we install Boris Graffiti on VS2021 Ultimate??

Hello, I've just upgraded from VS2018 Ultimate to the latest VS2021 Ultimate. I've noticed that Boris Graffiti was removed. Is it possible to install it back??

I don't really know as I never really used Graffiti. However, if I were to try, I would need to have retained VS 2018. Then I would look there into the Corel VideoStudio 2018 sub-folder vft_plug for the relevant Graffiti file or files and copy them to the vft-plug sub-folder of VS 2021. (I don't have VS2018 installed so I can't tell you what those files are.) You might also need to go to C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)and rename the 24.0 folder to, say, 24.0_OLD so that it rebuilds with a reference to Graffiti when next you open VS2021...

I can't guarantee this would work. But it follows the "normal" way we would insert plug-ins from earlier versions into the most recent version.

I tried but wasn't successful, I think it may need BCC or some other Boris component installed

I suspect it requires something in C:\Program Files\BorisFX which the plug-in would link to. As I said above, I don't have VS2018 on this computer, so while I have, in BorisFX, a sub-folder called ContinuumCorel, there is nothing in vft_plug to link the two. For all I know, there might even be a direct reference to Graffiti in BorisFX or the ContinuumCorel sub-folder if Graffiti had ever been installed on this computer. So check to see what is in your own BorisFX if you haven't already done so.

I tried this a while ago when it was discussed with 212 and worked ok
I did copy from X10 as i did not have 2018 installed.

Yes i think we need the correct library files in the ProDad / Boris folder along with Graffiti4 in the vft folder, and that means having the correct video studio version iinstalled

I have the 2021 Trial installed so can test later, in about 12 hours

A red X appears and cannot be used.

That's Boris Title Studio, not Graffiti...

Because there is no Boris title in 2021.

Yes, but the original poster wants Graffiti, which is different from Boris Title Studio... though I acknowledge that the same thing might happen with Graffiti from VS 2018.

Local disk C:\program Files\Corel\Corel Video Studio 2018\vft_plug\
Graffiti 7 vft. by copying.
Paste the same path in VS2021.

This will install the library for Graffiti, I see this here
C:\Program Files\Boris FX, Inc\Keyframe Libraries 7\Graffiti 7 Keyframe Library

with X 10 installed in ….
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X10\vft_plug
You should find Graffiti7.vft
Copy that file to
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2021\vft_plug

You should then have a working copy of Graffiti in the Boris FX category



For BCC Title Studio the process is the same

This will install the library for BCC Boris FX, I see this here
C:\Program Files\Boris FX, Inc\BCC Presets 10 Corel

with X 10 installed in ….
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X10\vft_plug
You should find BCCTitleStudio.vft

Copy that file to
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2021\vft_plug

You should then have a working copy of BCC Boris FX in the Boris FX category
