23.3.0.646 64-Bit Ultimate
Whenever I hit Multicam capture, it thinks for a minute, I see my webcam turn on, then it closes ore minimizes VS for a second, then comes back. It doesn't open the screen capture at all.
What's up?
Event Viewer shows the crash:

I notice you are using 23.3.0.646 the latest version of Video Studio 2020
Have you installed any other earlier Video Studio programs, if so which one.
Your details show using MCCL version 1.2.7.577, I do not recognise that version number.
Have you upgraded the programs MCCL from the welcome screen, at a cost of course.
Can you try launching MCCL from the desktop icon instead of through Video Studio

No. Clean install.
Okay. The software says it's up to date. "no updates available at this time" etc.
No. Is buying an upgrade how I make this version work as described?
Yes, it has the same crashing behavior. gives the same errors in the Event Manager.

Have you ever been able to run MCCL?
You may have to re-install Video Studio as the MCCL is installed with the main program
First I would try manually re-installing MCCL
Go to Program and Features, is MCCL listed, if so uninstall it.
Go to your program downloads folder and locate the \64bit\Ultimate\Setup\RunTime
Within the Run Time folder you should find MultiCam Capture Lite.exe, double click to run the MCCL installer

Have you tried re-installing MCCL
I uninstalled MCCL from Program and Features I then deleted the MCCL folder from C:\Program Files\Corel\MultiCam Capture Lite
I attempted to manually install the MCCL but the installer did not run, I had thought that option would work?
I then ran the programs installation file (VideoStudio2020_Installer.exe) to run the Repair option, takes a while to complete.
That provided me with MCCL version 1.2.7.618
The Performance Check is normal for the first time MCCL is run.
As a thought If your downloaded installation files are corrupt then you may be best to download the packages again to do that we need to uninstall the 2020 program, but it may be worth the effort to download the entire installation packages again.
Create a new empty folder to hold the new downloads. Then install VS 2020 from these files.

Done. I wiped it completely clean, rebooted, and re-downloaded EVERYTHING to a new folder, rebooted. Reinstalled everything.lata wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 3:01 pm Have you tried re-installing MCCL

Re: Multicam Crashed whenever I click on it. - 23.3.0.646 64-Bit Ultimate & 4k x 3
Thanks for the update on this topic
Details from Event Viewer however do not mean that much to me although it does indicate the offending file as
C:\Program Files\Corel\MultiCam Capture Lite\CameraController.dll
Even so not sure what to do about that.
I have had problems in re-installing MCCL in that uninstalling although cleared Program and Features did not always remove the MCCL folder C:\Program Files\Corel\MultiCam Capture Lite
and here
C:\Users\Trevor\AppData\Roaming\Corel\MultiCam Capture Lite
Although I do have several versions of Video Studio installed we can only have one version of MCCL.
Once I uninstall MCCL I always make sure those folders have also been removed.
Then I am sure when installing that I get the folders created again and not using any older installation files.
My only other thought is if you have additional cameras plugged into the pc, to remove those before trying to run MCCL just in case of any conflict
Other than that I have no other suggestions and you should contact Corel Support, unless others on the forum have any ideas

I tried unplugging my webcam and disabling 2 of the 3 monitors, (so there is only 1 display option), my old old VS couldn't do 3 monitors, they fixed this so maybe that was the problem again. But still Multi-cam crashes. Even after reinstall.
How do I fix this? Reinstall windows? I'll contact Corel about this now.
