Hey Ken!

To clarify, what 'd like to see is just the ability for VS to be able to use SonicFire from within VS as a plugin. One would still need to buy SonicFire etc. For example, Corel's Pinnacle Studio supports it (https://www.smartsound.com/sonicfire/pinnacle). We already have to pay for a plethora of VS's extra offerings. I'm willing to pay $30 ( like Pinnacle Studio users have to) for that ability. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like Corel took it away from VS users some years back to give to Pinnacle users instead.

Auto synchronization of two clips in the timeline for 3D film. At least via sound (I believe such a sound solution exists already in the Multi Cam editor).

Application Font Size Selector - Starting with VS 2020, and carried on to VS 2021, the font size within the application was increased. Not all of us have 4K monitors or need glasses. I have a 1080p monitor and the Preferences box and other windows almost run off the screen and in multiple areas the text is cut off and can't be read. Give users the option to revert the font size of the overall application back to how it was in VS 2019. All font configurations were great in that release. Keep the bigger font size option for those who need it but (literally) don't cut the rest of us off.

Corel DEV should regularly publish publicly the schedule of known issues with their forecast of plans for fix - AND they should make that schedule available to those members of their OWN SUPPORT team, who appear to currently be totally oblivious to bugs/fixes tasks being worked on by DEV. This WOULD have saved THEIR Support agents 4 weeks of grief dealing with MY RECENT ISSUE (corrupt Library Folders CAUSED by Corel), when all the while the issue was already IN THEIR DEV awaiting attention and fix. The schedule should be posted HERE on the forum and updated routinely monthly by Corel DEV.

Good evening, Question? If I upgrade to VS 2021 today, will I be able to upgrade to VS 2022 for the difference in price when it comes out? TY!

Welcome to the forum. As to your question, it's unlikely. VS2021 is the current version. We have no clear idea when the new version will come out, but it's unlikely for another 3 or 4 months. In the past, people who buy the old version just before the release of the new one may get the new one free from Corel. But that is usually a question of a few days and not several months.

In any case, nothing we say here has any bearing on what Corel might do at the time. We are not Corel employees, but users like you who volunteer their time to help other users.

After creating a smart proxy file, the Multi-Trim feature should use the proxy file, too. The proxy file works well in the timeline, allowing for smooth previewing, but when activating the multi-trim function the program appears to use the original heavy file, causing choppy editing problems while multi-trimming. It'd be nice to have smooth previewing and editing abilities in the multi-trim function when working with heavy, 4k files.

Glenn --Your suggestion made me think about something I just don't know the answer to, perhaps because I don't use multi-trim. But I wonder if SmartProxy doesn't apply to multi-trim because multi-trim is in fact splitting a larger video into smaller real files. Other functions within an NLE like VideoStudio are all virtual and ultimately do not affect the original video in the project. You can ultimately go back to the original video and find it unchanged for another project. But I wonder if multi-trim actually cuts the original video and creates new and real clips, and thus SmartProxy will not work in that situation.

Perhaps I am wrong. But I am wondering if anyone has tested this and can report...

Adding to Ken's comment - I use multi-trim a lot and like the function for my projects. The original clip IN the Library view remains singular and intact, as does the hard disk file of the source clip. It is also possible to drag the SAME source clip into the TIMELINE at different positions within the project, THEN multi-trim EACH of the two differently, perhaps because at THAT section of the project a different series of sub-clips are wanted trimmed as appropriate. The Library Folder view of the original clip stays the same. The timeline view holds the multiple IN-OUT points for the trimmed segments.

Hello there

i am a home user
I will prepare animation videos for my customers and I am preparing a youtube channel to earn money.
I do not have a company, I work individually.
Is Videostudio pro 2021 business version required for this?
I opened 3 different tickets but no one answers for 3 days.

Welcome to the forum!

There is no business version of Video Studio. What is advertised is all there is.

Making videos for commercial sale on YouTube is another matter, and you will need to study the YouTube rules -- which are regularly updated -- to ensure that nothing you use in your videos have copyright associations.

Hello;

thank you for your response
I will only use VideoStudio for editing the videos I have prepared. (Such as effects, masking and placement)
I will prepare my videos with iClone and Unreal Engine and use my own purchased music.

My purpose of using the program;
1- Making videos to earn money on my own youtube channel. (Youtube Ad revenue)
2- Making videos to promote my customers' products and selling these videos to my customers.
3- Preparing promotional videos for my game that I will write in the future.

Can I use it this way?

Thanks
