I bought the VS2021.
Split screen doesn't seem to change in instant project.
New features are social media, webcam overlay, portrait to landscape, trendy style. There is an entry called Themed Intros, Speed Presets.
And HTML5, Boris FX are gone.
There is an AR sticker inside FX, so there is no big difference from 2020.
Please buy carefully.

I also bought VS Ultimate 2021 .When I go to Edit then Sounds (Icon)-if I click on Triple Scoop Music. VS close automatically ;yet Triple Scoop Music opens perfectly with VS Ultimate 2018 and VS Pro X8 .Contacted support,proceeded with re setting software .Problem still there.I also submitted data from my PC. Awaiting for solution......

Thanks snowstorm, we learned of this issue recently and are working on it, to be fixed in next patch, soon. I will review with Support, make sure they're aware that reset doesn't help.

I looked over what's new and what was removed--I'm skipping this version. Not enough to justify even the upgrade price. Do better next time Corel!

I'm not interested in the "new" items at all, and Boris FX was removed. Doesn't improve my workflow at all, so no reason at all to upgrade.

In the version comparison table, the split-screen video template generator was strengthened and the current affairs expanded.
But it is the same as 2020. And I am disappointed with the removal of the Boris FX.
And clicking on the Triple Scoop Music item will close the VS2021.
Often closed during editing often for no reason.

I was curious to note the point about Triple Scoop causing VS2021 to crash, including the confirmation by Corel's glus above. I'm not sure why, but I can certainly click on Triple Scoop which, once the database is updated, opens and stays open without problem. ScoreFitter and Sound Effects also open without problem. See attached image. I have the version of VS2021 available to loyal customers 24.0.1.260.

I realize we are supposed to pay for the music but I have just played the first song ("A Good Day Today"), which is said to be a preview, through to its end at 3 minutes 27 seconds. At the beginning of each track there is a female voice overlay saying "This is a preview file, for example use only". So I guess they give you the chance to play the whole thing through and then decide whether to buy it.

I have never used TripleScoop before, preferring the old SmartSound, for which I have an extensive (and expensive!) library...

EDIT: I just tried to insert a ScoreFitter track into the timeline and VS crashed. However, when I reopened it, various tracks worked without problem.

I have not had any issues with TSM crashing, but “gewb” did report as 0656

I bought it too. Generally I am satisfied, because my last version was VS Pro X10 Ultimate. Lots of positive changes, but this version is very unstable. I didn't have as many crashes with the x10 as with the current version. Hope it'll be fix in patch.
Unfortunately, I am disappointed that Corel did not take my suggestions into account: "M" button to mute clip, and turn off the PC after rendering. It was so simple to add in my opinion...
Summarizing, I'm staying with Corel a bit longer, waiting for fixes.
