Duplicated custom toolbars name

Post by ilgk48 »

Hi to all,
I have just realized that in the Customize->Toolbar window, my personal toolbar named "myColor Replace" occurs four times!
Immagine 2021-02-16 081026.png
In effects PSP 2019 permits duplicated names (boh!).
Well, only the second "myColor Replace" is associated to the toolbar, so let's go to delete the others: not possible!

If I try, PSP correctly asks "Do you want ... " ecc. but when I confirm nothing happens. The name remains.

Why?
Please, any ideas?
Thank you.

I had the exact same issue with PSP 2020 I think (could be 2019, don't remember). Levi suggested that my registry could have been corrupted, regarding my custom workspaces. I ended up re-creating my workspaces from scratch, avoiding adding custom toolbars. Instead, I created custom menu-like groups of tools.

Many thanks!
I've deleted from the registry the keys associated to the toolbar "myColor Replace" and now it is disappeared from the window "Customize".
Ehm ... you created custom menù? At a glance I do not find how you did this. Custom toolbar yes, obviously.

There is a special command for that in the View -> Customize dialog: http://prntscr.com/zq7ywr

EDIT: Actually, it is the "New Button Group", right below "New Menu".

Ok. Found.
Help does not help at all ...
Now I click "new menù" or "new Button Group" ... and then?
Please where can I find this subject in the Help?
Frustration ...

Nice, glad it worked out for you too. I also think that's more elegant then toolbars, but that's just a personal preference.

Yes, elegant and not too intrusive in the window.
Thank you again.
