Hi,
I recently bought a new computer and I reloaded onto all my programs onto it.
I have VideoStudio Pro 2019 and MultiCam Capture. I have used MultiCam Capture for a year and a half with my old Alienware computer with no problems. Now with my new HP Pavillion, I am having a problem with it.
When I plug my 3 WebCams (all Logitech C920), they work perfectly. Then I add my iPhone 12ProMax, through EpocCam Pro software, the image comes through, but its rotated 180 deg. Ive tried everything and I cant fix this. There are no settings on the phone, MultiCam Capture or the EpocCam to correct this. This also happens when I am ONLY using iPhone12. Frustrating.
When I go through VideoStudioPro 2019 and use the onboard MultCam Capture, this iPhone 12/EpocCam Pro configuration works perfectly (no rotation). Only when I go through standalone MultiCam Capture (without VideoStudio) I am having this problem. (I cant use the onboard MultiCam Capture, because it only allows me one camera). I need 4 at one time.
By the way, the Iphone/EpocCam Pro combo works perfectly with other software such as Zoom, EpocCam Viewer. But I have this 180deg rotation problem ONLY with the Stand Alone MultiCam Capture.
Sorry to be so wordy.
I hope someone can help. This is driving me crazy.
Thank You,
Joe D

Re: Problem with MultiCam Capture
Hi Trevor, thank you for reaching out.
I don’t have MultiCam Capture XL. I didn’t know it existed.
I have to check it out. I wonder if this will fix my problem?
That would be great. Thank you for the tip Trevor!

Re: Problem with MultiCam Capture
Hi Trevor,
Thanks again for letting me know there was an XL version.
I downloaded the "X" and tried my iPhone and EpocCam and unfortunately, I had the same result. The image was flipped 180 degrees.
I went through all the settings and there was nothing there that could affect the result.
I am hoping there is a simple fix.
Thank you for the welcome.

Re: Problem with MultiCam Capture
By the way, OBS does NOT flip the Video 180 degrees either.
Only the Corel MultiCam Capture products.
MultiCam Capture is really an excellent program for my needs. But I am trying to do this on the cheap and it isn't working.
My iPhone Camera is excellent. Way better than all my Webcams. So I want to use it along with my webcams (and tons of light).
I am still able to, I just have to rotate the file in my Video Editing software. Which is do-able, and not that much extra work, but it is kind of ridiculous that I have to do it in the 1st place. Oh Well.
Thanks, Joe D

Re: Problem with MultiCam Capture
Joe,
I can confirm your findings regarding Multicam Capture (light), Multicam Capture XL and EpocCam. The image appears upside down. But when you refer to the "onboard Multicam Campture" are you really referring to the "Capture Video" option under the Capture Tab? "Capture Video", captures one source while Multicam Capture captures multiple sources. With Capture Video the image is right side up!
Joe you may want to try ivCam. Using this software the image is right side up in Multicam Capture. I guess the question is; is this a problem with VS or EpocCam? Well, as Joe has pointed out, OBS doesn't flip the video as well as the free camera app that comes with Windows 10 so I guess Corel developers should take a look at this.

Re: Problem with MultiCam Capture
Hi Candive,
Thank you for your response. Yes you are correct, it is called Capture Video. I’m sorry. And that shows up perfectly.
I will try IVCam.
I would love be able to use MultiCam Capture (since I paid for it..).
Also flipping the iPhone video before I edit it is a bit of a pain, because I have to rotate it, orientate it and then render it back to MP4. Then re open it with all the other files and start editing.
I’ve noticed some latency issues with this method.
Thank you for confirming this. And I appreciate the tip on ivCam.
Thank you, Joe D

Re: Problem with MultiCam Capture
Hi Candive,
I tried IV Cam. It WORKED!
The free version displayed ad's and watermark on my screen. And initially it was getting caught in my McAffee firewall so I disabled the firewall.
For anyone looking to use there iphone as a high quality camera, I recommend this solution.
Candive your recommendation saves me time during my editing by not having to modify the iphone footage before I start editing.
This is cool.
Now I am all set.
Thanks,
Joe D

Re: Problem with MultiCam Capture
Hi Joe,
I'm happy that it worked out for you.
Yes, there is an investment to use all the features but it is substantially cheaper than investing in a good quality webcam.
Cheers,
Candive
