Videostudio 2020 Audio Clipping/Fading

Post by Landon »

Hello All,

I again so appreciate everyone's help as I learn this amazing new program. I am so relieved to have finally found a replacement for my old video program (Memories on TV) after looking for nearly two years.

My next hurdle....

Is there a way to have audio fade out at the end of a video project or a button I can press to have the video and music track align? I think in the Fast Flicks there is a way to have the video and audio portions align by clicking a check-box. Is this possible in the more robust fully editable version? I have been looking around but to no avail.

Thank you everyone.

Click on the Sound Mixer icon and you can see and edit the audio. See the user guide for more info on the Sound Mixer and the Fade-in and Fade-out buttons.

Audio level options

1 / First go to Preferences (F6) – Edit Tab – Set the Audio – Default audio Fade-in / out duration
2 / from the timelines right click the clip for Audio - Fade Out + other options
3 / Double click the clip to open Options panels - Edit tab – shows the volume controls / icons
100% volume – Mute and two fade ramps – float the mouse over for tool tip.
4 / and as tletter – the sound mixer – attributes tab

I tend to use option 3 the double click

Thank you all. The sound fading worked beautifully! I am struggling with the project duration which is longer than either my music1 track or my Video track, any ideas? There doesn't appear to be any other visible Video, Overlays, Titles, Voice, or Music1 tracks - all are blank beyond 29.41 yet the total project duration seems to be 45:03. Any ideas and a huge thank you for your patience and kindness.

I would suspect there is a clip somewhere on the timelines
Below the preview screen are the navigation icons, one is End, In project mode will jump to the end / last clip on any timeline

Make sure the word Project is selected, in blue

If you do not see a clip then expand the timeline, for right hit the + for Zoom in

If the clip is on the top track / Video track then switching to Storyboard view will show all clips as thumbnails, but only for the top track.

Wow-thank you so much- I found the "sneaky" clip and removed! I am so grateful to this group and your collective expertise- thank you, thank you, thank you! I can't wait to see what else this amazing program can do.
