Audio Insert

Post by GuyL »

I have inserted some audio into my project and it needs to coincide with a moment on the video. It lines up perfectly in the preview and when I create a video file and play it from the hard disk in windows media player it works great. When I burn it to CD, the sound happens about 2 seconds earlier. Any ideas?

The capture settings, project settings and the create disk settings are all identical from start to finish.

Hi
It reads as though you are using the correct procedure but to be sure…..
Did you create a video file before burning, or did you create dvd direct from the project timeline.
There are problems when creating discs from the project timeline.

Capture
Edit
Create Video File
Burn Dvd (using video file above)

What are your settings?
Are you Pal or Ntsc?

Visit the help sites in useful links below.

The out of audio sync’ seems to be a common problem, It would be nice to know when you solve it.
(and you will).

All the best Trevor

Here are the settings for the capture, project and creating the video file.
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
MPEG files
24 Bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Field Order B
(DVD-NTSC), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 6000 kbps)
LPCM Audio, 48 KHz, Stereo

I create the video file then burn to DVD. I burn to DVD with the same settings as the project and tell it not to render compliant video.
