Can I load an alpha video of a green screen as a mask in VS2020?
I am asking this question because I found this awesome online rotoscope tool.

It is very cool.

yes, although alpha video has a transparent background.
Video recorded in front of a green screen can be used in Video Studio, applying the Chrome Key options to remove the green background
There are several tutorials regarding these options
Have a look at the Welcome screen – Tutorials has a Chroma Key / Green Screen tutorials, there is also one on Alpha Channels.
I am sure I have seen a tutorial on Blending and Mask modes
Found one tutorial

Re: Loading an alpha or greenscreen video as a mask
I know most of those but there are some weakness of VS. for example put a green screen video as overlay and apply color key.
That works fine. After that apply old tv FX to that colorkeyed overlay layer. As you can see that fx is also apply to keyed color. I need to apply it only to the remaining area which does not work.
The only solution is masking with roto. But I did not find the solution.
I also try color key fx from effects. That did not work either.

Re: Loading an alpha or greenscreen video as a mask
I don’t understand as the original question was “Can I load an alpha video of a green screen as a mask in VS2020?”
Well yes you can
Now you are adding other FX filters that seem to conflict with the Chroma effect.
I would think you would need to render the applied Chrome effect to a new video file before adding the FX effects.
I assume you have two images on the timelines, the chroma key being applied to the overlay track with the second image on the top track, which clip did you add the Old_TV effect to.?
When you say “color key” do you mean Chrome Key
You then said “I also try color key fx from effects.”, again if Color is referring to Chroma then do not use the FX Chroma Key (NBVE II), that filter does not work correctly and has been reported to Corel. The filter does not remove all colour and leaves a grey mask instead of a transparency.

Re: Loading an alpha or greenscreen video as a mask
Ooppps sorry Chroma Key. Greek is my second language and Chroma means Color?!?!? Switching.
Anyway yes I apply to the overlay track.
My question remains. I need to apply an alpha as a mask. Because when I try to do so via Chroma key it still effects the deleted color which is not the output I want.
Also yes the chroma key FX does not work. It greyed out the color.
