Picture manipulation

Post by SinghJ »

Hi All,

Can anyone please assit with how to get a picture to be applied to a wall of a building, so that it folds around a defined area of the building or shape going in and over the indentations.

Many thanks in advance for your prompt reply to my question.

Do you have an example wall you want to apply the picture to?

Technically placing the image on its own layer and changing the blend mode, blend ranges, and opacity is the simplest option. If it doesn't distort enough you can also use one of the built in effects Effects->Distortion Effects->Displacement Map.

The Displacement Map effect uses an image to define distortion. It works relatively well on say the folds of a banner, but I've never tried it on a wall.

To Clarify like grafity on surfaces of a train or walls that are not flat, the displacement tool would be suitable?

Are there any tutorials or videos that show this in depth that you can recommend for PSP2020?

The tool hasn't changed in forever. So any tutorial online that uses the displacement map effect will work with 2020.
