Saving Pictures to Specific Folder

Post by terri_h »

I am using Paint Shop Pro 2018 and save 95% of my pictures to a certain folder. When I am finished editing, is there any way to set the SAVE AS to that folder? I find it so time consuming when I want to save to go through so many steps to finally get to where I want it.
Many thanks!

If Save-As or Save-Copy-As don't remember the folder you want to save to, you can add the folder to the Save-As dialogue box.
At the top of those dialogue boxes to the extreme right you see a Folder button with a down arrow. Navigate to the folder you want to save to, click that button and 'Add Current' folder there.
The next time you want to save, click that button and the folder.

When you click on Save, Save As, Save Copy As, it opens a dialogue box where you enter the folder to save in, then name of the file and the type (with options). To the right of the Save In where you input the folder, there is a number of buttons. Rightmost of those is a folder icon with a black triangle with its point down. You can add the 'current folder', the folder you navigated to to save the file, there and it's added to the favourites list.
On another note, Save Copy As (instead of Save As) should remember the last folder you Save Copy As a file to. So you can edit files from multiple locations, and Save Copy As will assume the last used folder every time, not the folder of origin.
While Save or Save As changes the name of the work file in your workspace to the Save As name, Save Copy As does not change the name of the file in the workspace. Save As changes the name of the file in the workspace.
Apologies, my English is atrocious today, I hope it's a bit clear.
