I am using 2021 Ult and the Diamond 03 Template and trying to load 3 images all of about .99MB each. The Pick tool mode is set to scale. With the appropriate layer selected I cannot find a way to get the image to fit in the diamond. I have been fiddling about trying to resize and reposition an image to fit inside a diamond template, but with no joy. Thought I was reasonably familiar with nodes, zooming and repositioning but I need some help here.
This sort of advice in tutorials is of not much value to me :-
• “Use the corner handles to resize or rotate the photo.
• Click and drag the circle in the middle of the image to reposition the photo within the frame.”
• Sometimes by pure luck one of the images will drag into a good position and does not need to be moved.Other wise I have results like this after the image does not show at all or shows a fraction of its content and I am not able to sort it

Re: Resize and Reposition images in Templates
These templates use masks, so as long as the image is larger than the visible rectangle area it should fit without issue.
The normal steps are
1) Place the image inside the same layer group as the diamond mask you're trying to fit the image into. Make sure it's inside the group and not below it. This separates the layer image from the rest of the template
2) With the pick tool make sure you're only touching the nodes or else you could end up selecting and moving a different layer/part of the image. For moving things I recommend the Move tool over the pick tool. While less convenient, if you're only trying to position the image it has a fun shortcut that makes moving a single layer way easier. Hold the SHIFT key while using the move tool and it'll only move the currently selected layer. It won't be able to select any other layers while doing this.
Honestly not sure what else to tell you. I don't own any diamond templates as I don't want to waste any more money on them. But there is no way they're different from all of the other templates in how to work with them.
