Scene Detection
I converted a VHS tape to digital (MPG). The scene detection in VS 2020 worked great. All the segments now show as individual clips. Here is the issue. If I grab one of the segment clips and drag it onto the timeline, then all the segment clips are checked as "used" even through I only selected one of them. It is as if they are all still joined to the main clip in terms of selection onto the timeline. Is there a setting I am missing or just how VS currently works with segmented clips?

Re: Scene Detection
Hi Norm
I must admit I had not noticed that behaviour. It has been many years since I used Split by Scene then it was during capture where each clip was created separately, then the green tick mark would work ok.
I am assuming you used Split by Scene after capture, from the timelines or within the library.
Do you have the option for Split by Scene during capture?
If I were to cut and trim a clip on the timelines it would be unusual for me to drag those clips to the library, so would not noticed this anomaly.
If you wish you could render each segment / clip to a new video file, drag one clip to the timeline, File Save Trimmed Video, repeat for all clips, of course an extra render that should not be necessary, the check marks would indicate the individual clips.

Re: Scene Detection
This is how "scene detection" works, it do not cut your long video but only mark "in-out"s on it.
You can see that if you select one of them library scenes the in-out are in the preview.
