Adobe flash player?

Will Adobe flash player ending Dec 31 cause any problems using VS?

Not sure that VS has a need to use Flash Player, but Adobe will be blocking all access to Flash Player so that it cannot be used, there will be some interim workarounds offered by various entities

This makes me think it's needed:

SmartSound and QuickTime are no longer included, have asked Corel for advice on Flash Player, don't know how long that will take, so hang in there.

One bad thing can happen, if swf files will not run.
I don't know if they use the external flash player.
Maybe it's good idea to render them now over solid color or black to mp4's
** I did few tests, rendering to mp4 is a total crap, wmv is much better.

Where are the swf files? Just the flash animations or are the more in FX filters, etc.?

Shockwave Flash format files SWF are the files in the Graphic’s library in the Flash Animation category. As far as i know these were the only flash files used by Video Studio

They were replaced with mov files as of VS 2019

So as far as we are aware, Flash is not needed from VS2019, .swf being replaced with .mov
Still awaiting advice from Corel what happens with Flash Animations in earlier versions of VS

I am using Video Studio 2018 Ultimate and Video Studio Pro 2008 and making deeper reseach I found that .swf extension is also present in multiple vsp project and templates Under Instant Project = T-01 vsp, T03 vsp T06 vsp etc

As suggested by Asik I am rendering with wmv extension...lots of work ahead of me.........

can you confirm the Video Studio 2008 version, are you referring to VS X8

With 2019, 2020 there is an option to render to Mov Alpha channels, this creates a video with a transparent background

Many thanks lata,you are correct my mistake it is actually VS PRO X8,version 18.5.0.23 (64 bit)
I will probably wait untill VS 2021 become available..
I still believe that Corel should offer revised templates/projects to users...My opinion
