PSP 2021: problems with saving as psd image

One of my regular visitors has the following problem:

In PSP 2021 when trying to save a layered image as a .psd image, the saving isn't a problem.
However, when opening that same image again, the top, transparent, layer (raster) disappears and in its place is a new, merged, layer: _Original layer_
Somewhere in the saving process, the top layer becomes merged with a layer with a backgroundcolour and merges i nto this "Original layer".

I remember that there was an issue with .psd files in PSP 2020.

Anyone encountered a problem in PSP 2021?

Are they on the latest version of PSP 2021? Version 23.1.0.27

I just ran a quick test, opened an image, created a new raster layer, used the picture tube a few times to create additional layers and saved as a PSD. When I opened it there was no _Original_Layer_ layer.

I tried it out for her and didn't have the problem either wit a layered image with 7 layers and one layer with a background colour.
I asked her if she had the latest update, but she hasn't confirmed that yet.
I also suggested to reset PSP. Don't know if she has done that either.
