Hi All
I have loaded a pic of a group people BUT one of the persons face is distorted
so I loaded another pic of the person and traced a outline of the face then copied it
I then went into the other pic and pasted it as a new layer all okay
BUT the skin colour on the pasted pic is no where like the main pic
How can I alter the skin tone of the pasted pic
This PSP pro 2020
Many thanks
Sheila

Re: skin faces
Hi Sheila,
Got to:
Adjust/Brightness and Contrast/Histogram Adjustment
Select Edit/Colors and for each color (Red, Green, Blue) move the Gamma slider until you get what you want.

Re: skin faces
Hi Jean,
Thank you for getting back to me.
Many moons ago in PSP 8 where you could get up the first pic then paste in a new layer of the head of the person
then get the pick tool and select part of the skin colour BUT I have forgoten what yuou did next with it.
I think it might have been somthing to do with the colourizer then select skin BUT I have search and searched for it but cannot fine it .
I have not got PSP 8 now so cannot find out.
I have done what you said BUT still not got anywhere near the correct colour to match
Also a long way to do it and time
Many thanks
Sheila

Re: skin faces
If you're comparing PSP8 tools it's probably one of the unused commands that were hidden because they replicate other newer tools. Maybe Manual Color Correction.
To get old commands back just follow these simple steps.
1) On the menu bar select View->Customize
2) On the "Commands tab" scroll the "Categories" list down to find "Unused Commands"
3) Click on this category to show the commands in the right-hand box.
4) Scroll through the box until you find a command you want to restore
5) Drag the command onto a menu or toolbar to add it back into the UI.
Quick note: I downloaded PSP8 trial from OldVersion.com which while it is a trial, the trial term ends but doesn't stop you from using the application. I use it to check how compatible my scripts are with older versions of PSP.

For me, it takes a few seconds to reach the desired color. I always do it that way:
