The eraser tool in my Paint Shop Pro 2021 seems to be malfunctioning. Please note the three images below.

1. The botom image is the original. I want to clone the lady on the left and make her a "twin."

2. So first I create a layer and name it cloned lady.

3. Next, using the clone tool on the original image, I right click on the top of the lady's head.

4. Now I switch to the clone lady layer and clone her onto the level. So far so good. Center Image.

5. Now, I need to clean up the edges on the clone lady layer, so I switch to the Eraser tool. But instead of erasing the parts of the image I want cleaned up, the Eraser tool only creates all those little white dots you see on her legs.

6. On clicking on the presets option with the Eraser tool active, I click on the little curved arrow to reset the tool to defaults, but the problem persists. Top image.

Am I missing some thing somewhere????

You probably have texture turned on in the materials palette. Turn off textures and try again.
