Image/Resize

When I clip an image my dashcam video which has a size of 2880 by 2160 but displays as 16 by 9. I want to resize a screen shot to 16 by 9 but it always adds a black border on the right to fill out the image to 3940 by 2160 to give a 16 by 9 image rather than stretch the image to get the correct proportion.

Anyone else have this issue?

Hello Frank,

I'm not sure what procedure you follow, but in the Complete workspace (Edit tab at the top of the screen) you shouldn't have any issues if you Image -> Resize [by Pixels], then uncheck the Lock Aspect Ratio box under Advanced Settings, and finally type the target dimensions in the Width and Height boxes.

What version of PSP are you using?

I would like to add, I've never seen Resize add a black border to an image. Canvas Size will if you're working on a background image, it changes the size of the document itself not any of the image data and will fill in any areas with the color
indicated in the dialog.

Same here (never seen Resize adding/removing borders), though I'm not sure if it is some kind of ill functioning of the recently added AI Resize. However, I think that most likely Frank was not using Image -> Resize.
