I have managed to install NBVE VI to 2020, not all good news though
When I installed the files it indicated installing plugins to C:\Program Files (x86)\NewBlue\Video Essentials VI for Windows
Not unusual to find Program Files (x86) being used
I then found similar files in Program Files
C:\Program Files\NewBlue\Video Essentials VI for Windows
I copied the 10 VFT files
C:\Program Files\NewBlue\Video Essentials VI for Windows\ULead64
+ the VideoEssentials664.dll to
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2020\vft_plug
In addition I had to delete / rename the reset folder 23.0 otherwise the program hung on splash screen
C:\Users\Trevor\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\23.0
Renaming the 23.0 does allow you to revert back, but will reset the library, so you may need to first do a Library – Export
And I have repeated the above and again have Essentials VI
The initial launch of the program after moving the files was very slow
And the bad news
A second launch fails with splash screen, unless I delete the 23.0 folder
Not sure why?

NewBlueVE6Tile.vft
do not add this file to the
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2020\vft_plug folder
I now have Essentials VI installed with 9 filters

With NewBlueVE6Tile.vft deleted from the vft_plug folder will VS 2020 still load after you have re-booted the pc?
Edit: The tile effect works perfectly for me in VS Ult 2019. So is it corrupt?

I have not tested 2019 but will do so tomorrow, a little late in the uk
Yes 2020 launches ok with Tile.vft removed
I will check again tomorrow
If Tile.vft was used it may need a reset after removing, not sure, can check later
