Where is the log file for Video Studio 2020 located?
I have a clean install of vs2020 running on a brand new machine. Everything was going great. Slammed out a project in record time. We decided the project needed some time tweaking. Somehow I managed to fat finger a transitional effect into a single frame which crashed the app every time it passed the glitch. Ultimately I moved everything on to a different track and disabled the old track with the offending segment left behind because I couldn't click or right click on it w/o crashing. PITA! It took a long *** time to find that single frame. So weird because I feel like I should be typing, "log file attached".

None - see https://forum.corel.com/search.php?keyw ... sf=msgonlyToxWat wrote:Where is the log file for Video Studio 2020 located?
Sometimes the Windows log may contain app error messages but they're usually not that helpful.

Re: Where Is The Log File?
Hi
No real log files as such, the details of your project are saved to the VSP file, although we can open that using NotePad, the details are unreadable and certainly not editable, if you wish to try make a copy of the VSP.
If you zip the vsp and attach to your post we can try to delete that single frame.
Sone thoughts....
Expand the timeline view / zoom into the timeline should show the short clip.
If the clip is within the top track, switching to storyboard view may help in viewing the clip as a thumbnail, using the Arrow keys to navigate would avoid a mouse click and maybe avoid the crash long enough to hit the delete button
There have been similar issues reported before but no definite way in fixing, although one did have a clip that appeared to be shorter than a frame, a hairline and very hard to locate.

Re: Where Is The Log File?
Thanks for the speedy reply. My workaround worked and the project is out the door. I hadn't considered looking at the vsp in Sublime..... not my cup of tea. I've had rogue clips before, find em and delete em. First time I've seen a clip that crashes as soon as you click on it.
