Layers Palette not acting right?

Post by twins225 »

I noticed this morning that my Layers Palette has lost its shortcut icons.
I have never had an issue before, and I haven't made any changes.
It used to look like this (icons across the top above the layers)
ex_layers_pal_x2.jpg
Mine now looks like this:

I don't see anyway to customize the palette any further. I have restarted my computer as well.
Version: 2020

Thanks in advance.

Try:
-> File/Preferences/Reset Preferences/check 'Make all toolbars/palettes visible and on screen'

If no result, try to reset the workspace:

I've had this happen over the years on different versions of PSP. For some reason the Layers toolbar seems to be especially vulnerable for me. Good recommendations from Jean-Luc. Also, the following has worked for me in the past.

Try going to View - Customize - Toolbars and reset the two Layers Palette toolbars to see if that brings your icons back.
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

Thank you. The first suggestion didn't work.
So I followed the help link to reset the workspace.
The first option didn't work (as the reset option was grayed out).
I did the double click on icon to reset.
It appears to be back to normal now!
Thanks again.
