Stop Motion

Post by martinreed »

I have VSDU 2019 running on a Windows 10 laptop.
I would like to try using the Stop Motion module but when I run it, the image is from my laptops web cam.
I have plugged in my [elderly] Nikon P500 and my Canon Legria cam corder but VSU doesn't detect them.
If I block VSU from using the web cam then Stop Motion crashes.
Any suggestions?

Several things.
1. you say windows 10 laptop, but your profile says winXp. The profile helps a response when issues are reported, so you should update that.
2. the VS2019 user documentation on stop motion says:
a. plug the camera into the PC. No method of doing that is mentioned, but my assumption would be using HDMI, which leads to required features of the camera. Clearly you have some method of connecting the camera to the PC - what is it? where did you get the advice for that?
b. 'compatible cameras'. Nikon and Canon brands are mentioned but no specific model list seems to be available. Have you asked Corel tech support for one???
