Why can't I open a .mov file to edit in Corel VideoStudioX9? Is it unsupported?

It's only supported if you have installed the .mov codec from Quicktime. Make sure you only install the codec and not the QT player that goes with it for Apple. Have a look at this post of mine to see how you do that: https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?p=382228#p382228
