Contours
I need some help with contours. Meaning, I'm trying to fit an image on top of another image that has a contour I want it follow. Just can't figure out how to do it. PSP 10. I know it can be done in Photoshop and I'm quite sure it can be done in PSP. I just don't know how. I can provide an example of what I'm talking about if anyone thinks they can help me. Thanks!
Re: Contours
Yes, please provide an example because quite frankly I didn't understand what you described.
PS. Btw, in PSP context, the term "contour" refers to path/shape components.

Re: Contours
I suggest you post it here in the forum. This way in case I can't help after all, someone else might. Plus it will stay available for future reference, for other users who might have the same problem.

I have several pictures I need to include to help describe my problem, but it won't let me add them as attachments.

Re: Contours
You say you know it can be done in Photoshop. Do you know this because you've done it or because you saw a tutorial on it? We can usually glean the idea from an existing tutorial as well. Or even just what tools would be used to do this in Photoshop.
Another option would be to upload your images to a file/image sharing site like Imgur, google drive, one drive, dropbox, etc. and provide links along with your description. You don't have to upload everything here directly.
Of coruse that's only if you absolutely need us to see the whole image to get the picture. Small screenshots and crops that meet the Forum's requirements for attachments (must use full editor not quick reply to see attachment uploads) can be sufficient to show what you intend and need to be able to do.

Re: Contours
The original files are Photoshop files with the extension of .psd. I've never used Photoshop myself, but I know that's what's used to do what I need. I've used Paint Shop Pro since 1995! I'll upload everything to Dropbox and provide the link.

Re: Contours
I think the .pds files you have are probably done in Photoshop's 3d workspace, which makes it easy to "wrap" 2d textures on 3d meshes (assuming you have a 3d mesh of the helmet).
I can't think of an easy way doing that in PSP, because PSP does not support 3D processing. Maybe someone else at least knows a less tedious way of doing it in PSP (probably using Displacement maps), compared the way you do it now . However, regarding the blend-mode, you may also try Color/Color Legacy or Soft Light instead of Overlay.

Re: Contours
I tell ya what, I've tried EVERYTHING....Like I said, sometimes I can get one to look decent. But it depends on the color of the shell I'm working with. I guess I'll just have to continue doing it the way I've been doing it.. Thanks!
Re: Contours
Regarding the logo colors, have you tried manipulating them using adjustments such as white-balance, hue map, curves, levels, channel mixer, etc?
Regarding the logo alignment on the helmet, and considering the amount of work you have to do, perhaps it would be a good idea to spend a couple of weeks learning how to do it in a 3D program (Blender for example is free if you don't have access to Photoshop, tho it's easier in Photoshop)... this kind of work is really meant to be done in a 3D application.
EDIT: If you stick wih PSP, besides the displacement maps you can also try the Warp brush and the Warp mesh tool. The thing is that all that introduces distortions, on top of being so darn hard to get it right.

Yeah, I've tried all the color manipulations. I haven't tried the warp brush or warp mesh tool. I'll give that a try. Got nothing to lose! Lol Thanks!

Re: Contours
Nah, didn't work. I get the "bend" effect I like using the "Sphere" tool.
