HI...

I have encountered the following error message during the process of writing to a DVD media (DVD-R) on Video Studio 9 ...

DVDR-DAO-SPTI-2A-02-03-0C0-00

I am using the LG GSA-4163B DVD/CD Rewriter.

Can anybody help?

Try closing all your running applications. VideoStudio is a memory hog. Having a lot of running programs in the background could affect its performance. Oh, and if you have external devices (like external harddrives, ipod, what have you) connected to your pc, unplugging them would help a lot.

Why don't you try using a DVD RW as a test disc, you know, just in case something bad happens, you could erase the disc and try again. Saves you from turning those discs to coasters, ei?

And if you have any third party packet-writing (drag to burner) software like Nero InCD or a Roxio products whose name I forget, installed, then uninstalling it may resolve your problem. Such programs in effect take over the burner and block other programs, including VS, from using it.
