Hello,
just wondered if anybody had any experience of using colourising (colorizing) programmes (programs).
I have a number of old photographs I would like to convert.
I have used PSP to do this quite well but was looking for a quicker solution.
Black and white to colour

Re: Black and white to colour
I have used Recolored. It's an older program and I'm not sure if it's still available but it does a nice job.
PSPX ver. 10.10, PSPX9 ver. 19.0.0.96, PSP2021 ver. 23.1.0.27, PSP2020 ver. 22.2.0.8 2019 ver. 21.1.0.22, and & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX2 thru PSP2018 owned but not installed

DeepAi Colorizer - https://deepai.org/machine-learning-model/colorizer
It's supposed to be decent, not great, but decent.
There is also a Google CoLab called DeOldify - https://colab.research.google.com/githu ... AVYCRqI7QW
When you open it you'll have to play each cell separately as you go through the lab until you get to the parameters section. You will enter a direct URL for an image and give it a render factor (just accept the default first time through) and turn watermarking either on or off. Finally hit play on the parameters section to run the DeOlidfy effect on the image. You'll be prsented with the final image and a small side by side under neath it. Just right-click on the colored image to download it.
Here's a poorly recorded video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CkU1nm ... sp=sharing
In the video you can see I run each cell one by one, waiting for it to finish before moving onto the next one.

Re: Black and white to colour
Thanks for the replies.
I think this needs more research on my behalf.
I will download the several free trial versions and compare.
